Recycled Sari Patchwork Round Coin Purse

This intricately designed coin purse is made with recycled bridal sarees worn by women on their wedding day. The producer group purchases these old sarees and cuts them into patches to produce new textile items. By re-purposing this scrap fabric, the artisans are saving these gorgeous textiles from going into a landfill.

Zari is traditional embroidery technique in which a tinsel thread is weaved through fabric to create complex patterns. Due to the recycled nature of this product, each one is completely unique!

Colours and designs will vary.

Made using recycled fabric outer (patterned on front and back) and lined with black material. Complete with zipped top with black coloured thread and tassel.
