Woven from water hyacinth, these simple yet stylish Lam tablemats from Nkuku have an organic circular shape and use the variations in colour of the dried plant material to create a simple block pattern and border. Water hyacinth is a river weed in Vietnam, where these mats are made, so the local weavers we work with are making use of an unwelcome species in the ecosystem.
