Here at Uneeka we are lucky enough to have loads of fantastically hard working, creative and inspirational women on our team. So this International Women's Day we would like to share with you just some of these incredible ladies who have worked with us, past and present.

Having been with Uneeka for 10 years, Jess has worked her way to Operations manager. She knows everything there is to know about the company and has the ability to juggle 100 things (efficiently) at the same time - something we all admire. With a cool head and clear vision she keeps us all ticking. Jess holds a degree in textiles, specializing in woven design and has made some absolutely incredible samples. She has used this textiles knowledge to effortlessly ensures our home store stays looking fresh and current. Her eye for colour and texture is amazing and her talent for space making should, quite frankly, be awarded. She is always there for anyone, to chat, to help or to giggle, and for that, we all love our Jessy J. |

Jade is our fantastically sassy Life manager who is always wearing a fantastic outfit and is a true joy to be around. In her spare time she specializes in hand painted signs, lettering, gilding, chalkboards and murals. She uses traditional techniques, drawn out & hand painted on to a surface of your choice. You will have likely seen her work across the years in our shops gorgeous window displays. |

Hollie is our incredible café manager who has been with us at Uneeka for a few years now. She has an incredibly warming and upbeat personality which has people coming back in for coffee again and again. In her spare time Hollie likes to work with silver. She makes some beautiful jewellery which people often comment on and for that we can't wait to stock some! |

Louise is Uneeka family. Sister to Jodi our director, resident gardener, Christmas temp and long time helper with practically everything and everyone! Louise has recently retired from an illustrious career as a fine art Lecturer at Truro College and is now filling her time with her own creative ambitions. She is a multi- disciplined artist who draws, paints and uses print making techniques. |

Abbey is an absolutely lovely artist and illustrator currently working from her studio at The Old Bakery in Truro who is bound to infect you with her upbeat energy! After art school Abbey traveled and worked on sailing boats around the Mediterranean Sea, across the Atlantic Ocean and around the Caribbean Islands. The opportunity to experience different cultures, sail oceans and see the world from a new point of view has been invaluable to her artistic practice. |

She combined her extensive knowledge of design, patterns, textures and sustainability to become a self made interior designer and DIY pro to create the perfect tiny home with her partner Sam |

Becca is a lovely, kind soul with a background in Zoology. Her adventures reflect her passionate nature for protecting the planet, wildlife conservation and sustainability. She has worked for ocean conservation charity Surfers Against Sewage and currently volunteers for BDMLR helping them care for injured seal pups in Cornwall to which Uneeka has recently donated towards. |

Anna is an aspiring clothing designer based in Cornwall who hand paints clothes and accessories with her own unique designs and drawings. She is still in training but has already done some work for small independents and is always looking very cool in her unique style. |

Emily is a freelance illustrator and designer currently based in Cornwall. She studied Illustration at university and now works as our website / eCommerce manager here at Uneeka. Her practice is a mix of hand drawn and digital elements and she has a penchant for book making or any forms of physical art. She loves art, words, snippets of life and arrangements of colour. |

Nicole is our New Zealand beauty who brings belly aching laughter to anyone lucky enough to meet her. She has worked in our café for a few years now, whipping up delicious creations for our lovely customers - she makes the best pumpkin chai cake and salted caramel millionaires! Once a kayak instructor, she is an outdoor enthusiast, loves the Cornish sea, is an avid surfer and, maybe, most importantly is an incredible, hardworking mother to the most gorgeous little boy! |

Emily works in our life store and as well as being the most lovely soul, has helped really make our social media presence what it is today. She has such a great eye and therefore she is our primary 'go to' photographer for both our Instagram and many magazine spreads/ digital marketing. Whenever you meet her, you are bound to leave with a smile on your face. |

Tilly is one of our newest staff members. Currently studying dance at college, her main passions are ballet and lyrical dance. She loves to perform! Her main inspiration is from watching musicals at the theatre and she dreams of one day combining her love of dance with travelling the world. She loves living in Cornwall going to the beach and surfing. |

Kerrie is a designer - maker with an eye for minimalist design and an affinity for metalwork. Kerrie’s jewellery and homewares embody a strong style of clean lines and geometric shapes. She is influenced by materials and the processes of making, working intuitively to create minimal, considered designs. Based in Cornwall she feels at home in the creative community there. She has worked in our lovely café for a few years and has recently said her goodbyes to pursue her business full-time. We can't wait to see what the future holds for her. Lizzie-May loves to paint botanicals and beautiful places using gouache paints, and sometimes other mediums such as colour pencils and pastels. She makes a range of products including prints, pins and patches that echo her fascination with anything plant related. She feels the most inspired when walking around Cornwall, whilst peeping on neighbours greenhouses and visiting botanical gardens. She used to work with us in Truro life store but has recently left us to go full time with her art career. You can find her products in our stores and online. |
