Here at uneeka we are proud to support Child Rescue Nepal and this black friday we decided to ask our lovely customers for their support. We added a stamp to our donation board for every £25 spent in store. We managed to reach our target and double our donation from £250 to a whopping £500 for this fantastic charity.

The charity has been rescuing and caring for vulnerable children in Nepal since 1999

With more people globally exploited for hard labour than at any other point in history, we know our work is desperately needed. Child Rescue Nepal is on the ground, removing children from factories, restaurants, hotels and construction sites where they are held captive. We take the children to our safe house and provide them with medical care and counselling. The next step is tracing their families and safely reuniting them, providing ongoing support where necessary.

So far we have helped by:

Raising over £7 million for Nepal’s children
Rescuing over 850 children, with ongoing support in many cases
Pursuing the prosecution of 24 traffickers, helping to jail 14 in Nepal and India
Improving education for over 50,000 children in the trafficking-prone district of Makwanpur
Raising £150,000 for earthquake relief in 2015 and helping to rebuild 23 schools
Raising over £100,000 towards Covid relief including emergency equipment and food parcels
