Roseate Spoonbill Framed Print

£169.00

Platalea ajaja.

The flamboyant Roseate Spoonbill almost looks like it just walked out of Alice in Wonderland, with its bright pink feathers, red eye staring out from a partly bald head, and giant spoon-shaped bill. This beautiful creature is 1 of 6 species of spoonbills in the world and the only one found in America.

Birds have a high visibility in nature and a marvelous aesthetic appeal making them a beloved subject to study both by professonals and amateurs.

This print is created using a combination of lithographic and photochrom printing processes which allow for the restoration of vintage archives, whilst adding colour, depicting the intricate beauty and details of this vibrant and unique bird.

Printed with Japanese archival ink on a matte Hahnemühle paper.

Available in three sizes:

- H50 x W70 cm.

- H70 x W100 cm.

- H112 x W158 cm. (Please note that the 112x158 print comes in Perspex instead of glass due to the large size.)
