This piece is crafted using traditional sandcasting techniques. The process begins by preparing a mould from sand, into which molten aluminium - heated until it reaches a liquid state - is carefully poured. Once cooled, the hardened cast is removed, revealing a form with naturally low dimensional precision and a beautifully textured, rough surface. These unique irregularities create an organic patina, which is then enhanced with a hand-applied coloured finish.
