Its constructed from sungkai wood, which is one of the more famous timber from Indonesia. Sungkai wood is often used for a variety of indoor furniture, and a perfect wood due to its ease to be worked and processed into a variety of sleek and beautiful shapes. This dining chair is a replica of the original "Wishbone" chair which was a collaboration between designer Hans Werner and maker Carl Hansen, which was a huge contribution to mid-century Danish design. Designed from a series in traditional Ming chairs - an ergonomic chair which was designed around the contours of the body. The back legs are steam-bent into a curve that tapers to join a circular steam-bent back rail.
