Scilly Isles Storage Chest

This gorgeous wooden storage chest is part of a wider collection which has all been crafted from reclaimed pine. All the timber is carefully assessed and then crafted using traditional woodworking techniques, to give the rustic country feel that fits into traditional and modern settings. The nature of the wood gives all elements a wonderful vintage, traditional styling, emphasised by the historic worm holes, splits and irregular marks in the grain. The use of reclaimed timber creates a positive impact on the environment, reusing materials that could otherwise go to waste, increasing the element of additional resources and water usage. Reclaimed pine emphasises the beauty of nature, and the detail specifically within this wood. Pine is a beautifully easy timber to work with a multitude of interiors and aesthetic styles.

This chest features a plain wood finish, which is contrasted by the black powder coated steel elements. This is present in the drop handles, hinges and clasp. When the chest is opened the lid is held up by the safety bar - doesn't lock into place - and provides an ample storage solution for many rooms, but perfect as a bedding box styled ottoman, for the end of the end. Or alternatively in the living room for the extra blankets and cushions.
